- This resource is included in Capability 1 ‘Apply personal security protocols’ as it equips students to understand how to stay safe on the internet and how to respond to negative online social behaviours.
- The above resource utilises interactive based computer lessons, Bailey, Murray, Rait, Mercer, Morris, Peacock, Cassell & Nazareth (2010, p. 28) in their review found that Interactive based computer interventions contributed positively to student learning when compared to face to face teaching and non computerised intervention. However, they recommended that further evidence is needed to determine their effectiveness in lower socio economic global regions.

- This resource is included in Capability 1 ‘Identify the impacts of ICT in society’ as it provides a platform for students to learn about the history and impacts of ICT on society.
- BBC Bitesize is a web based interactive learning tool including App, with visual appeal and ease of use it is suggested that can these tools can lead to improved student learning and improved student engagement (Kay, Knaack, Petrarca, 2009, pp. 39-40), however, these researchers also found that concerns raised by teachers included the amount of time needed to go through all the interactive components to ensure that the program was appropriate for their classes and the lack of correct technology to actually run the programs, this is evident in this particular application needing Adobe Flash Player.

- This particular web based platform provides animation and narration clips along with lesson plans for indigenous students. The effects of animations and narration have been found to significantly improve student learning outcomes particularly of students who have low spatial intelligence (Khan & Masood, 2012). In contrast, Kesner & Linzey (2005), though more than 10 years old, found that animations did not significantly improve student learning, further studies are recommended in the educational benefits of animation.

- This online educational interactive game, though American based, teaches the fundamentals of plagiarism. Interactive games have shown to provide a range of positive learning benefits including, improved student motivation, concentration, confidence and learning outcomes (Lin, Wei, & Hung, 2012).
